Sanitas Peels
Chemical peels are solutions that are designed to remove the top-most outer layers of the skin so that new, regenerated skin replaces the old.
Peels can improve uneven skin tones related to age spots, acne scarring, excessive oil and breakouts, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, poor circulation, and skin laxity.
Chemical peels are classified from light to deep. The depth and strength of the peel depends on the type of acid as well as the pH balance. The deeper the peel, the more profound the results and the longer the recovery time.

What to expect with a Sanitas Chemical Peel

1. After cleansing, we apply a Peel Pre-Treatment, to gently dissolve oils and prepare skin for penetration of the peel.
2. The chemical peel is applied with cotton gauze.
3. The skin will often tingle, sting or feel warm/hot. This can be intense.
4. A neutralizer will stop the chemical action of the peel.
5. After treatment the skin may appear sun burnt, "frosted", or pink.
6. Skin may feel tighter and be more sensitive. Sometimes the skin appears darker (temporary) in a day or so.
7. Skin sloughing or flaking usually occurs in 2-10 days.
8. Occasionally breakouts will appear (for up to 7 days).
